For Whom?
We work with two kinds of client. The question is the same in both: what the place has to hold before anyone is found for it.
Funds and the companies they back
Private equity and venture funds, in two directions.
Inside the fund. The investment team – associates and analysts – and the narrow technical expertise a fund needs in order to see what others cannot. Hires that become part of how the fund thinks, not only how it is staffed.
Across the portfolio. The leadership of the companies the fund backs – CEO, CFO, COO – where a hire has to hold through the holding period and stand up to the board's questions, not only to the first interview.
The work behind it: a VC fund, from first hire to institutional edge; how we read management in a PE deal; what fund partners say.
Founder-led companies
Technology companies, scale-ups and Web3 businesses where the founder still holds more than one role and the company has outgrown the way it was built. We design and fill the C‑level – CEO, CFO, COO, CTO – and the first level of management beneath it, so that decisions stop travelling up to the founder by default.
The work behind it: from founder dependency to a scalable system; a CEO search that began with a diagnosis; what founders say.
Family investment offices
Increasingly, we also speak with family investment offices. The questions are close to those of a fund, only sharper: a mandate that has to be explicit, a board that includes the family and confidentiality as a condition rather than a courtesy. If that is your situation, the first conversation is the same.
In every case
One of our managing partners does the work personally, from the first conversation to the end. If you are not sure which of these describes you, that is a good reason to start the conversation.
